Learn More About Haley

When she was only 15 years old, Haley Kilpatrick dreamed of a program that would help middle school girls deal with the anxieties of being a young teen. Her idea was to have high school girls mentor middle school girls to build self esteem, develop leadership skills and understand the importance of community service. She believed that if girls’ emotional needs were attend to, they would perform better in school.

Today, Girl Talk is one of the fastest growing nonprofit mentoring programs in the United States and has reached more than 30,000 girls. Haley has traveled across the country to speak to more than 22,000 youth and educators. She has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, NBC Nightly News, CNN, HLN, Montel and TBS.

She has received many honors such as Glamour Magazine’s “20 Young Women Changing the World Now”, Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40 (Youngest Recipient to Receive Award), SELF Magazine’s Women Doing Good Award (2010), HLN Morning Express “Breakthrough Woman” and CNN’s “Young People Who Rock”. She also was recognized in Power 30 Under 30 (Apex Society), People Magazine’s “All-Star Among Us” and received a $10,000 Maybelline Scholarship, along with the honors of CosmoGirl of the Year (CosmoGirl Magazine) and the TBS Pathfinder Award.

In her spare time, Haley enjoys traveling, volunteering, spending time with her family and friends and inspiring others to discover their passions through community service.
