NEW Cannabis Prevention Resources for the Classroom in Partnership with Discovery Education
April is Alcohol Responsibility Month—the perfect time to start conversations at home and in the classroom about the importance of staying substance free.
We are excited to continue our partnership with Discovery Education—the leading provider of standards-aligned digital curriculum resources, engaging content, and professional learning for K-12 classrooms, to launch our second digital exploration.
This new, self-paced, interactive module follows Jack and Lyndsey as they learn more about how cannabis affects the developing brain. They assess myths and facts about underage cannabis use and work together to say “YES” to a healthy lifestyle. This digital exploration also incorporates problem-solving and critical thinking to help kids understand how and why they should say “NO” to underage cannabis use and all risky behaviors.
This module can be used within the classroom, as part of independent study, or as part of a hybrid education module. Educators can also encourage families to access even more resources to start conversations about substance use at home and find underage cannabis use prevention materials here.
