From 2003 to 2021, conversations between kids and their parents increased 38%, while the rate of past year underage drinking has declined 59%, proportionally, over the past 20 years. When parents and kids talk about underage drinking, they help delay the onset of alcohol consumption and the risks associated with underage drinking.
