Building Confidence for Responsible Choices with your Students

In order to meet different learning styles and provide useful resources that build on our Ask, Listen, Learnunderage drinking prevention program, we’re excited to announce Ask, Listen, Learn: Building Confidence for Responsible Choices. This new partnership with Discovery Education features videos and digital activities designed to support middle school students in saying “NO” to underage drinking and underage cannabis use as they cope with physical and emotional changes and complex social situations.

This three-part prevention education video series focuses on peer pressure, goal setting, and responsible decision-making through the lens of the developing brain. Digital activities accompanying each video help students understand how brain development influences their choices and guides them towards making thoughtful decisions. The facilitator guide provides strategies for introducing and reinforcing concepts along with summaries, health and wellness connections, reflection questions, and activities to help you integrate the ideas presented in your classroom.

Ask, Listen, Learn: Building Confidence for Responsible Choices videos and digital activities complements our core eight lesson plans. These new resources will empower your students to make informed, healthy, and responsible choices, especially when used with interactive quizzes from Kahoot! and the We Are Teachers Google Slide game.

Thank you for always working to empower kids to say “YES” to a healthy lifestyle and “NO” to underage drinking and underage cannabis use.
