Make your own snow globe!

Snow globes are fun to have on display through the winter months no matter where you live. Even if you’re in Arizona or New Mexico, you can still have your own little winter wonderland to enjoy. If you want to be creative, maybe you could even put mini cacti statues or a surf board in your globe to reflect your home town!

But before you think about the details, why don’t you take a look around the house and see if you have the basic materials for this craft…

How to make a snow globe:

-Wash and dry the jar

-Attach figurine, decor to jar lid

You can use super glue or clay; just make sure it dries before you add any water.

-Fill jar with water and “snow”

The jar should be filled to about 1/2″ from the top. If it’s too full, it won’t be possible for the glitter to swirl around to create the snow storm effect.

-Glue the lid to the jar

Wipe off any water from the jar lid and rim, put glue all the way along the inside, then screw the lid on. Let the glue dry overnight, with the lid side up.

*You can also decorate the jar rim with ribbons, felt, sequins to add more sparkle if you want!
