Ask, Listen, Learn Mental Health Lesson Featured as a We Are Teachers- Teacher Pick

As a part of the We Are Teachers Teacher Picks program, fifth and sixth grade ELA teacher and school librarian, Amy Brownlee,  endorsed Ask, Listen, Learn’s newest lesson on the Impact of Alcohol and Marijuana on Mental Health. Teacher Picks features some of the most innovative and effective resources in education, all endorsed by current classroom teachers.

In her review, Ms. Brownlee highlighted the lesson’s ease of use, engaging student discussions, and classroom activities such as vocabulary support and the accompanying Kahoot!. She also discussed the importance of educating young people about mental health and destigmatizing the discussion of mental health issues.

Watch Amy Brownlee’s review of the lesson below and read the full review on the We Are Teachers website.

The Ask, Listen, Learn mental health lesson reviewed as part of the Teacher Picks review teaches kids about adolescent mental health, positive and negative strategies for coping with mental health challenges, and how alcohol and marijuana can negatively impact the developing brain and mental health.
