Ask, Listen, Learn had a “Bounty” of Fun in Bountiful UT!

It’s the week of Thanksgiving and we couldn’t think of a better place to be than Bountiful, Utah with the Ask, Listen, Learn program! While turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie will be “bountiful” this Thursday we had our own bounty of fun today at South Davis Jr. High with Congressman Chris Stewart.  Kids ranging from 6th grade to 9th grade came together to hear Rep. Stewart talk about how dangerous underage drinking can be. The Congressman stressed the importance of saying “No” and reminded kids that even young adults can be alcoholics. He told a very important personal story of a friend who chose to underage drink and sadly was eventually killed by his alcoholism. Everyone was so grateful to hear the Congressman talk about this important issue in his own words and some lucky students got the chance to shake his hand and get pictures! The kids then spent some time playing the Ask, Listen, Learn game and even took a shot at the advanced obstacle course level!

Overall it was a great day to be in Utah and we’re so lucky to end our pre-Thanksgiving Ask, Listen, Learn tour at a great school with a great elected official! Thanks so much to the Davis School District, the Rep. Stewart, and all the staff at South Davis Jr. High that made it possible!
