Today is Amelia Earhart Day! Amelia Earhart was the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She is known as a true American trailblazer and hero, as she set her mind on a goal and worked hard until she reached it. She practiced with a flight from Honolulu, HI to Oakland, CA in 1935 and made 2 long-distance flights before she set off across the Atlantic.
