Celebrating 4 Years with the Brain Team

Since 2003, Ask, Listen, Learn has supported parents and educators as they help kids say “YES” to a healthy lifestyle and “NO” to underage drinking. Over the years, our community and our partners have made Ask, Listen, Learn – the science-based educational content, conversation starters, games, and videos – the most widely distributed program of its kind.

In 2016, with the help of teachers, school counselors, and parents, we introduced our BRAIN POWER TEAM along with new standards aligned videos and lesson plans for 4th-7th grade classrooms. It is hard to believe that it has been four years and more than 3.5 million videos views of teaching kids how the developing brain works, what alcohol does to it, and what that does to them. Thank you for being on this journey with us!

We are constantly working to keep our finger on the pulse of what educators and parents need—especially with the changes in education over the last eight months—and will keep bringing you proven-effective prevention resources for many years to come. Our latest unit – how marijuana affects the developing brain – is a testament to just that – listening to our community.

Coming off the heels of Red Ribbon Week, we are excited to continue to encourage parents and educators to have conversations early and often with kids—both in the classroom and at home—about how engaging in risky behaviors like underage drinking and underage cannabis use can affect their developing brains.

We are proud to celebrate another year of our education suite, and we want to say THANK YOU for your continued support of our program! We cannot wait to finish 2020 strong and help you make the most of this upcoming holiday season, when conversations will be more important than ever.
