#Take20withKids
This April we’re celebrating two exciting things: Alcohol Responsibility Month and the kickoff of our 20th anniversary of empowering kids to say YES to a healthy lifestyle and NO to underage drinking. In honor of 20 years of prevention education, we’re encouraging you to #Take20withKids.
Since you’ve been a huge reason for our progress in reducing underage drinking rates over the past 20 years, we want you to “take 20” with your kids or students to celebrate their achievements and continue building those relationships that are vital to preventing underage drinking. Your “take 20” could be in the form of minutes, seconds, or even deep breaths!
Every Wednesday in April we’ll be sharing inspiring ways to “Take 20” with you on our social channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), and we want you to share the ways you’re taking 20 in your homes or classrooms too.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Take 20 minutes to empower your kids to stay alcohol-free
- Take 20 minutes to set goals for the week
- Take 20 seconds to celebrate something good that happened during the day
- Take 20 seconds to check-in
- Take 20 deep breaths to reset
Download the template and tag Ask, Listen, Learn (@ask_listen_learn) in your Instagram Stories using the #Take20withKids to share them with us and others. We’d love to know how you’re taking 20 this month and throughout the year to keep kids substance-free as we celebrate 20 years of prevention education!
