Win the JFSLA “Choose to Matter” Contest!
The Century Council and Ask, Listen, Learn are excited to announce our sponsorship of a new Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy “Choose to Matter” Contest!
You all followed our amazing journey documenting the 2012 contest winners at the London Games, and now Julie Foudy has another challenge for young girls to make a difference in their communities.
The grand prize winners get to play a service role at the Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games with a 4-day, 3-night stay at Walt Disney World All Sports Resort.
“Being athletic and living a healthy lifestyle gives girls the confidence to become leaders in their schools and in their communities. I’ve seen this first-hand in those who have come through our sports leadership academy and have gone on to impact their communities. One girl can make a positive difference!” said Julie.
The Century Council Mother/Daughter project category for this competition is open to any mother/daughter team in the U.S. that is working on a service project together.
The projects can be submitted between December 15, 2012 and January 15, 2013 and America will vote online for their favorite projects February 1-7. One grand prize winner from each of the three JFSLA camps, Girl Talk, and The Century Council Mother/Daughter category will be selected.
The Ask, Listen, Learn team encourages everyone to get out there and start service projects in your hometowns- don’t miss this chance to Choose to Matter!
