Happy day-after Halloween, friends! We hope everyone had a fun and safe night roaming around the neighborhood or handing out treats to all the little goblins!
Here at The Century Council, we had to postpone our Halloween shin-dig to the day after Halloween due to the power outages and closings in the area from Hurricane Sandy. This afternoon, we all brought in ghoulish goodies and dishes to share with our co-workers! From chili to quinoa to pumpkin dip, there were a lot of healthy options to try.
We also learned some fun facts about Halloween- did you know the Irish brought the tradition of carving jack-o-lanterns to the US, and they used to carve turnips? How interesting!
