Ask, Listen, Learn & Discovery Education Launch Digital Exploration

In April, we launched our partnership with Discovery Education, the leader in digital education, to amplify Ask, Listen, Learn’s underage drinking prevention curriculum and bring you even more online resources to empower kids to say “YES” to a healthy lifestyle and “NO” to underage drinking.

Today, we’re thrilled to be launching an interactive online module that takes kids on a journey through that decision-making process. The digital exploration follows 6th grade student Alex as she faces a decision to go to a party at her friend’s house, where she thinks there may be alcohol.

In this module, students will explore the developing brain with Alex, consider how to make a smart and healthy decisions, and learn how to help their peers make good decisions too. They will learn that underage drinking is not only illegal, but it is also risky behavior with negative short- and long-term consequences.

FOR EDUCATORS

Corresponding classroom activities extend this learning to encourage students to get creative and leads them through scenarios that will help them practice their refusal strategies. Students also have the opportunity to create a school-wide campaign to help their peers understand the dangers of underage drinking.

FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS

For continued learning and conversations at home, our corresponding family activity will support you in guiding your kids through refusal strategies with situational scenarios and helpful conversation tips.

Check out the digital exploration NOW and let us know what your favorite part is – we love hearing from you!
