This one is for the MOMS (and dads too)!

We know that parenting is harder than it looks, and it doesn’t get easier as your kids get older. Although there are no more bottles or potty training to deal with, those issues have been replaced with questions, eye rolls, and arguments. But then there are the hugs and the smiles and even the occasional “thank you!” that make it all worth it.

Moms (and dads too), you are doing a great job! In fact, our research shows that 76% of parents have talked to their kids at least once in the past year about alcohol consumption. And when conversations about alcohol go up, underage drinking rates go down.

It’s hard to believe sometimes, but parents are the #1 influence on their kids’ decision to drink–or not drink–alcohol underage. The conversations that you are having are important–and they are making a big difference!

So keep up the good work! And remember to talk about the impact on brain development and the long term effect of alcohol when you have your conversations. If you ever need a refresher course about how alcohol affects the developing brain, look no further than our seven simple videos; they are full of great information. Kids love them too–as the videos keep it simple, and they are easy to comprehend.

We are glad to have you as part of our support network and are here to help you. We will continue to supply you with materials to help kids say YES to a healthy lifestyle and NO to underage drinking.

Thanks, moms–and

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
