We’re at #AMLE2013! Come check us out!

November 8th, 2013

It’s hard to believe it’s already November. But that means we get to attend the annual Association for Middle Level Education conference in Minneapolis.  We are thrilled to be back for another year amongst professionals in the middle school level

Middle school students (grade 5-7) represent one of our most important audiences, along with parents.

We are excited to showcase our Ask Listen Learn: Kids and Alcohol Don’t Mix program. The program has grown over the years to include educational print brochures for kids and parents, bookmarks and magnets. We are also featuring our 2013 Scholastic Material at this year’s conference which features our Ask Listen Learn Superstar Aly Raisman. And of course, you can check out our Ask Listen Learn Interactive Game as well.

Jeff Mushkin, a PE Teacher and father of a middle school student said, “It’s great for us PE teachers to integrate the healthy lifestyle message with our activities. We are always looking for resources that allow us to give the kids the tools they need to learn, especially at this age where they’re open to it, as opposed to when they are older and more resistant to hearing about this.”

Come visit us at booth 507 and help us eliminate underage drinking and encourage kids to say yes to a healthy lifestyle and no to underage drinking!

What we were up to yesterday…

March 9th, 2012

If you were following us on twitter yesterday, you know we were in snowy St. Paul, Minnesota. And while it was freezing outside, we started off the morning early with 2 of our Superstars in their bathing suits!

Inside the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Center at University of St. Thomas, Mallory Weggemannand Apolo Ohno sat down to chat about goals, what Mallory does to prepare for a race and even embarrassing moments that happened to them in middle school. They then hit the pool where Mallory and her coach took Apolo through her strenuous workout.

Stay tuned for video footage from the day to see if Apolo was able to keep up with Mallory in the pool.  Footage will be released in June as Mallory competes at swim trials!
