Summer break has arrived! With warmer weather comes more free time, so before you jump into your favorite swimsuit or fire up the grill, talk to your kids about making healthy decisions over the summer.
We teamed up with champion swimmer and 5-time Olympic gold medalist Nathan Adrian and 23 Attorneys General from across the United States just in time for Alcohol Responsibility Month.
April is Alcohol Responsibility Month, which is a great time for teachers and parents to start—and continue!—having conversations with tweens and teens about saying YES to a healthy lifestyle and NO to underage drinking.
Tuesday, January 22 marks the start of National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week – an excellent opportunity to start–or continue–the conversation about underage drinking with your kids and students.
Whether your child raises it or you broach the subject of drinking, when it does come up, make your views utterly clear. Your tween may not parrot your opinions the way he did when he was seven, but he still very much cares what you think.
As you can see from the statistics, the number of children experimenting with alcohol is low–and it continues to decline! But in the event that you find out that your child has taken that “first sip,” here are some ways to start the difficult conversation about underage drinking
